Autumn 2025 Newsletter

Welcome to our Autumn 2025 newsletter of the social scent company.

Nice to have you as part of our scent and floral community!

As the weather starts to change and the end of daylight saving , it is the perfect time to start getting ready for the cozy, cooler months  and having lovely scented candles on hand to be lighting, to add to that sense of coziness.

The month of April has us celebrating  Easter and acknowledging in remembrance, ANZAC Day.

ANZAC Day

The Red Poppy Flower both in New Zealand and the world over, has become the symbol of war remembrance. People wear the poppy to remember those who died in war or are serving in the armed forces. In many countries, the poppy is worn on Armistice Day (11 November), but in New Zealand it is seen on ANZAC Day, 25 April.

The red or Flanders poppy has been linked with the battlefields in the Belgian region of Flanders. It was one of the first plants to grow and bloom on the former battlefields - a symbol of regeneration and growth in a landscape of blood and destruction.

In the Language of Flowers -  Red Poppies also symbolise consolation, remembrance and death and eternal sleep. However in

Eastern cultures, red poppies symbolise romantic love and success - a stark contrast to the solemn Western poppy symbolism.
