Summer 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to the Summer 2026 newsletter of the social scent company.

We welcome our new subscribers and it is nice to have you as part of

our scent and floral community!

Summer has certainly taken on its own rhythm this year.

This newsletter arrives a little later than planned and, by the time you’re reading it, we may even be edging into autumn. With such a mix of weather over the season, those beautiful warm, sunny days felt especially precious when they appeared.

Despite the changing conditions, our gardens have been wonderfully productive. We’ve been busy harvesting flowers for drying and pressing, replenishing supplies after a full and rewarding season hosting many private workshops.

💐 A Little About Us

For those of you who are new to our community—welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.

In our last newsletter, we introduced you to our very talented Helen. This time, we’re shining the spotlight on Megan, our Technical Director.

With a keen eye for detail, Megan is passionate about the candle‑making process and loves sharing her knowledge to help bring each candle creation to life. Her role includes ensuring the right materials are used for each vessel, guiding workshop participants through candle care and maintenance, and managing our stock inventory—both materials and finished products.

Alongside all of this, Megan also enjoys discovering new candle options and scents, and carefully preparing your wonderful orders.

🌸Flower Highlight: Dahlias

A true highlight of the summer garden, dahlias bring vibrant bursts of colour and continue blooming well into late autumn. With so many varieties to enjoy—from dramatic ‘dinnerplate’ blooms to charming pompom styles—they’re endlessly inspiring.

Native to Central and South America, dahlias are perennial tuberous and bedding plants and are the national flower of Mexico. Their symbolism varies by colour, representing inner strength, kindness, relationships, and resilience. A favourite of Queen Victoria, dahlias symbolise elegance, beauty, and enduring grace in the Language of Flowers.

By mixing different dahlias in a bouquet, you can create a beautiful arrangement that conveys just the right message.

🕯️Workshops and Products for Every Occasion

We offer both scheduled and private group workshops—perfect for hens’ parties, baby showers, birthdays, or simply a creative weekend with friends. Our workshops are mobile, child‑friendly, and can be held at your home or a venue of your choice.

🌼New Scent

Our new scent for autumn 2026 is the beautifully layered Mimosa & Cardamom. Bright top notes of bergamot, white flowers, and orange zest lead into the sweet floral heart of mimosa blossom and lilac, before settling into a rich base of spicy cardamom, musk, and white cedar.

In the Language of Flowers, mimosa symbolises vitality, hidden strength, sensitivity, and resilience. Its bright yellow blooms also represent the sun, hope, devotion, and secret love. Mimosa is the official flower of International Women’s Day, celebrated on 8 March in many countries.

This elegant late‑summer/early‑autumn fragrance is available across our full product range—simply select Mimosa & Cardamom when ordering. We also have products available for gifting to celebrate International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March 2026.
