Essential Oils

Essential Oils are extracted from plants directly, utilising the flowers, berries or herbs. Sometimes even the peel, roots, needles and other parts of a plant can be harvested as well, to contribute to the distilling process. The oil will be usually obtained by either a steam or cold pressed process.

One of the benefits of essential oils is that they have been identified as having therapeutic  properties. One example is Lavender essential oil, which is seen as having relaxing benefits. Citrus oil is the opposite, with it being known for its invigorating and energising properties.

Essential oils do tend to give off less scent when burning in comparison to fragrance oils, as they evaporate a lot quicker and so we use fragrance oils in our candle range.
